In this course, students will gain an understanding and appreciation for design as a discipline and refine their aesthetic eye. Students will learn the building blocks of design including the distinction between elements and principles and determine their application in a variety of environments and visual presentations. Students will not only learn how to articulate their ideas using design language and terminology, but will also gain an understanding of the art of visual communication using industry standard Adobe Photoshop software. Students will explore the senses and how they can be utilized to influence human interaction and experiences through our design choices. This publication is designed to guide students as they master how to leverage the power they have to influence others by flexing their creativity and problem solving skills to produce designs that make a difference!
