Overview of
Construction Planning & Scheduling In Today's Modern Construction Projects

Discovery

Advanced scheduling and management techniques such as AWP and IPD, are being introduced to the construction industry and computer technology is widely used in schedule and project management.

This book is written in response to the need that the authors noted while teaching the construction scheduling course for years holding industry expertise. Construction education is a practical discipline, so students begin working right after completion of school work. Therefore, this book aims at teaching students to apply what they have learned when they start work in the industry. What students need is to learn how to create a master schedule and how to manage the construction schedules being implemented in the project. They should get ready to work as a project engineer/assistant superintendent.

To accomplish this aim, this book has practical aspects in addition to the techniques that many previous books focused on. Workbook for lab activities is included for practicality.
