Introduction to Education: Establishing Equitable Learning Opportunities for All Students

Discovery

Congratulations on taking the first step of your journey to become an educator! You are about to embark on an innovative adventure. This text will help you learn how to establish equitable learning opportunities for all students. However, this is more than just a book. It is an interactive experience. As you read, or listen, you will be prompted to participate in digital activities. You will also notice we intentionally include the terms he, she, they, and Latinx to acknowledge all gender identities.

We hope this text helps you reflect on professional and personal decisions about the kind of teacher you want to become, what types of materials you select to teach, and how you want to interact with your students and their parents/guardians. After reading and interacting with each chapter you will contribute to your own E-Portfolio that will showcase how you can establish equitable learning opportunities for all students!
