Carol W. Hamilton is a Management Lecturer in the College of Business at James Madison University (JMU) since 2000. She currently teaches Interpersonal Skills and business ethics. Carol helped launch the Entrepreneurship minor in Fall 2018 and designed a mentoring program for students in the minor. Formerly the JMU Director for the Center for Entrepreneurship, Carol led strategic initiatives to champion the entrepreneurial mindset across disciplines. Carol has worked extensively with both student and faculty teams in multidisciplinary courses throughout her teaching career. She actively volunteers at her church and in the community to initiate and support new programs as well as address conflicts. For 2018-2020, Carol chairs the advisory board of a nationally acclaimed choir of more than 200 choristers, the Shenandoah Valley Children’s Choir (SVCC), in Harrisonburg, Virginia. Carol earned her MBA with a concentration in Entrepreneurship at JMU in 1997. Carol began her career with IBM following graduation from Clemson University with a B.S. degree in Administrative Management in 1980.
