This textbook was created to blend written text with online materials to foster learning and interest in Texas government. The text has 14 chapters that will cover all required course material and has additional imbedded links that contain news articles, documentaries, and reports on various issues that will allow you to delve further into a particular topic if you are interested in it. If you encounter a broken link, please notify me and it will get repaired.

At the end of each chapter, there will be a series of quiz questions. Students will need to answer those to the best of their ability and the quizzes will constitute 10% of the course grade. Students will have two attempts to take each quiz and the higher of the two scores will be recorded in the grade book. Course requirements will be discussed further in the syllabus.
