After working in the industry for 35 years, Fletcher went back to school for an MBA and then continued to obtain a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University in 2010. His primary research areas were fraud detection and online education. He has been teaching the introductory management information systems class at Oklahoma State University for five years and the revised course for three years. The feedback from both alumni and employers is that the curriculum changes made were positive and students are better prepared for their careers than before.
