Human Anatomy for the Community College Student helps students learn human anatomy in a way they understand, remember, and connect knowledge to last a lifetime. Typical textbooks have an overwhelming amount of information that students need to sort through and identify the significance. This book contains only the relevant information, eliminating the task of sifting through the chapters to determine importance.
This digital publication leverages multimedia and technology to engage students, but remains grounded in sound teaching and learning practices. Using multiple learning modalities to foster knowledge acquisitions, its design creates neural pathways that lead to lifelong learning. Students begin by reading and outlining the chapter while answering review questions. They complete activities, view pertinent videos, test knowledge with quizzes, and connect newly gained knowledge while practicing writing and critical thinking skills. By the end of their journey, the student learns HOW to learn, understands anatomy deeply, and garners the ability to make thoughtful connections beyond the classroom and into their career.
