Matthew Cain, PhD, RSCC, PN1 is a Professor of Exercise Science at San Diego Miramar College. He also serves as the Director of Strength and Conditioning for the Athletic Department, while overseeing the personal training and yoga programs. Previously, he has served in similar roles at CSU Dominguez Hills, California Baptist University, and El Camino College. He’s a Register Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). His PhD in Health and Human Performance was awarded from Concordia University, where he examined various forms of resistance to potentiate vertical jump performance. He is also the CEO and Founder of Health and Human Movement Inc. He lives in San Diego, CA with his fiancé and their goldendoodle (Sandy Rae).
